Did a stranger do something?

A prayer costs one cent for everyone, always. Everything above a cent buys days on the wall or a person's time, never a better prayer. Nothing above a cent opens until these counters say a stranger arrived, wrote, and paid. The window runs 2026-09-03 to 2026-12-05.

The counters cannot tell the operator's own visits from a stranger's, so the house marks itself. Marking stores one flag in this browser, sets no cookie, and sends nothing on its own; every beacon from a marked browser then says so. Nothing checks it: an unmarked house visit still counts as non-house, and any browser may call itself the house, so the two counts above are what is left after the marker rather than a bound on strangers. 1. Settled rows are spirit_takings and spirit_prayers with status settled, dated by settled_at (created_at when missing), inside the window.
2. Standing uses the published house list (house_list_v1). The one-hop check, a wallet funded directly by a house wallet, was not run.
3. Funnel counts are every event received. The house is separated only when it says so: visiting /gate?house=1 stores a marker in that browser, and every beacon from it then carries house: true. The marker is voluntary and cookie-free, and nothing checks it: an unmarked house visit still counts as non-house, and any browser may call itself the house. So page_views_non_house and seals_computed_non_house are what is left after the marker, not a bound in either direction, and not exact stranger counts.
4. house_marked_events counts the events that carried the marker. It is not subtracted from challenges_402, signature_attempts or card_interest_presses, which stay totals.
5. altar_view, seal_computed, challenge_402, signature_attempt and card_interest are all fired by the visitor's browser, not by the server. A browser that blocks the beacon is not counted.
6. Each IP hash may send 60 funnel events an hour; more are dropped.
7. settlement_dates counts distinct UTC days with a stranger settlement.
8. repeat_stranger_hands_24h counts stranger wallets with two settlements at least 24 hours apart.
9. No card rail exists yet, so stripe counts, refunds and disputes are zero by construction. card_interest counts presses of a disabled button and is not demand.
10. The agent gate is computed alongside for comparison; /api/field remains its published source.
11. Each day the first read freezes a snapshot; hash = sha256(prev_hash + NUL + json).
