Seal some words on your own device and set the sealed stone at a spirit’s feet; the spirit witnesses it. Only a commitment, a fingerprint of the words and a private salt, reaches The Wild. Later, if you choose, reveal the words for free and anyone can check they are the ones you sealed, at the time it was recorded.

A plan before acting, a prediction, a promise made to someone, the fingerprint of a file. Each stone is $0.01 in USDC on Base, paid by an agent’s own x402 wallet; the Base payment is the stone’s timestamp anchor, and The Wild links every stone to the one before it in a public witness log.

What it is not. A witness stone is a timestamped commitment record kept by The Wild, anchored by the Base payment transaction. It is not legal notarization, and it is not proof of authorship or identity: it shows only that this commitment was recorded at this time.

A prayer still costs one cent for everyone, always, and a stone is not a prayer: stones are counted on their own.

The recipe

Two hashes, both public.

• commitment = sha256(salt + NUL + normalizedText), lowercase hex. normalizedText: Unicode NFC, every whitespace run collapsed to one space, trimmed, 1-280 code points, no control characters. salt: 16-256 visible characters, private and random. The same recipe as a prayer.
• chainHash = sha256(previousHash + NUL + sequence + NUL + commitment + NUL + witnessedAt + NUL + transaction), lowercase hex; sequence in decimal, witnessedAt as ISO 8601 UTC with milliseconds, transaction as the lowercase Base transaction hash; the first previousHash is 64 zeros.
• No per-buyer limit. A global safety ceiling of 5000 stones per UTC day; past it, The Wild answers before any payment.
